Frog 9 was published in September 2010.
The French writer and movie director Marguerite Duras is on the cover, photographed by Renaud Montfourny.
Starting with issue 9, Frog was augmented to 300 pages and a special textured cover. Paris Purple magazine editor OLIVIER ZAHM made our editorial, with 8 pictures of MALCOLM MCLAREN’s funeral —and this was our very intimate choice to bring together Duras on the cover and McLaren for the editorial.
Great and rare people are interviewed in this issue: DOMINIQUE BOUDET interviews Dutch architect XAVEER DE GEYTER and Editor in Chief ERIC TRONCY talks to LAURIE ANDERSON right after her “Delusion” concert,… among others!
Wordly acclaimed photographer JUERGEN TELLER pictures his own exhibition in Le Consortium with an exclusive 30-page memorable picture series.
Paris based exquisite photographer ROMAIN BERNARDIE JAMES looks at CHRISTIAN DE PORTZAMPARC’s work for the Hotel Renaissance Paris Arc de Triomphe, and fashion photographer GIASCO BERTOLI (who some years later will appear as an unexpected actor in DOMINIQUE GONZALEZ-FOERSTER’s movie) comesback from the “Deadline” show at Musée d’Art Moderne de la ville de Paris with a very intense picture series —this show is also reviewed for us by PIERRE-NICOLAS BOUNAKOFF.
